Looking for a new delivery method for your favorite tall, cool one? The Beer Pouch doesn't add a metallic aftertaste and is way easier to crush on your forehead.
The Beer Pouch, not to be confused with this beer pouch:

...is a refillable pouch made of an organoleptic film structure. This is all big science for saying that the pouch will stretch a bit when filled -- allowing for carbonation expansion -- but won't give your beer a metallic 'can' taste.
Since it is refillable, it is an ideal option for the home brewer who wants to take their D-I-Y craftsbeers with them on the go. The pouches also work with "low-carbonated water" and "shelf-stable energy drinks."
Commercially, this type of pouch was being used by the Great Bear Brewery in Wasilla, Alaska before they closed.

(Yep, THAT Wasilla, Alaska)
Have you seen any other brewer's using this type of packaging? Have you tried the Beer Pouch?

These don't appear to be recyclable, as opposed to good old fashioned aluminum cans and glass bottles. Not sure what itch this is trying to scratch, but those with environmental concerns would probably be better served looking at existing products. This seems to be a gimmick to me.

I'd buy it! Can't wait to see the keg form! Cheers, to you and the Earth!

This is such a great idea. I hope some company picks up on this for any liquid i.e. beer, water, juice, etc. In Germany they have a poptop/pull tab on some of their beer bottles!

The pouch seems a greenier alternative. I hate the plastic bottles and the cans, but the pouch I can take to the beach. Where can I try it out???? Like the idea now which major beer company will start using beer pouches.
